My first random question may be a little touchy but it's something that I have always asked myself and I would life to know what others would do in the same situation. First let me start off by saying that being a mother to me is the greatest, hardest, most honorable job a woman could ever do in this world. It takes a lot to carry someone made of you inside of your womb. Once you have the child you have the job of caring for the child, and loving it, and raising it the best way that you know how and I salute the many women around the world that are playing the roles of both mother and father..I also will take this time to salute the fathers who are more than just "sperm donors" but are real dedicated fathers.
Ok, so with that being said here comes the real deal. If something as tragic as being rapped occurred and you conceived a child what would you do with the unexpected child? I have seen many movies and read many stories to know that many of the victims would abort the baby as soon as they found out the news. These women are emotionally scarred by the situation and only look as the fetus which slowly grows within their stomachs as a painful reminder.
It is more than understandable that encounter is hurtful and sad but I ask is it the child's fault under the circumstances of which they where conceived. Sure the situation of the pregnancy is defiantly not ideal but is it worth giving up a life? Children are a gift from god but does change under these circumstances.
I always told myself that if it ever happened to me that I would keep the child and raise it the best way that I could but we all know that things are easier said that done. In my opinion we shouldn't punish the unborn child for something that an evil,careless man did but that's just my opinion. What do you all think?
